The game currently has 122+ floors, with the developer The Axolotl Sun adding new ones every week. Floor numbers are a moving target because weekly updates regularly introduce fresh minigame floors, event floors and reworks, so community lists are usually labeled with the date they were last checked.

A floor streak counts the floors you survive in a row without dying. Dying resets it back to zero, so players invest in survivability items and play the safest floors when protecting a long streak. Streaks also unlock milestones and help you show off progress in the elevator community.

Beginners should grab survivability items that keep the streak alive, then add coin multipliers like the Token of Midas (1.25x) and the Compass (1.75x with movement boosts). Floppies are lore collectibles that also grant +100 max health when given to Lampert, Prototype, Reddy, Melanie or Scag.

Several NPCs can join your ride depending on the floor and RNG, including Pest (a 50% chance on The Subway), Poob, Split, Bive, Lampert, Prototype and others. Each passenger has unique dialogue, interactions and lore, and some are more common during specific floors or events.

Floppies are lore collectibles hidden across floors since January 2025, and Sea Bunnies are variant collectibles added later. New locations drop with each weekly update, so secret-hunting guides stay fresh. Giving Floppies to certain NPCs grants +100 max health.

The developer ships a weekly update almost every week, adding new floors, items, balance changes and seasonal content. Save Slots arrived in mid-2026 as a major quality-of-life feature, and the developer teases changes on X/Twitter @TheAxolotlSun and the official Discord.
